APSORC13 outstanding student poster award

We announced for student presenters that we institute outstanding student poster award of APSORC13.
Eligible for the outstanding student poster award are students that:

  • are first author and personally present the poster at the symposium;
  • satisfy one of the following criteria:
    - are a current undergraduate (e.g., BSc) or postgraduate (e.g., MSc, PhD) student;
    - are a recent undergraduate or postgraduate student (conferral of degree after 1 January of the year preceding the conference) who are presenting her/his thesis work.

Authors meeting requirements were invited to register for the award. The respective award committee was comprised by the member of Organizing Committee and International Advisory Committee and selected six excellent poster papers from 34 registered posters.
The award committee is pleased to announce the winners below.

Each winner was presented a USB memory unit attached with Kutani pottery made in Kanazawa as well as a certificate of the award. Prof. Yamamoto, co-chairperson of the meeting, delivered certificates by hand to three of the winners in the closing ceremony.
